In recent years,critical pedagogists have explored the study of new language and critical form in curriculum,based upon the criticism on modernity. This sort of research derived from the critical theory of Frankfrut School. They have pointed out that the technological rationalism had acted as a mechanism which promoted modern development and advance.But the very rationalism has weakened the human critical capacity. For that reason, critical pedagogists insisted that critical thinking should be key concept in the curriculum research. H. Marcuse considered the advanced industrial society as the "One-Dimensional Society" in which technological rationalism functioned as an ideological appratus. This paper will review an approach to the critical thinking through considering his conceptions of counterplots against critical theory search as, 1)advanced industrial society, 2) positivistic methodology, and 3) culture industry. In consequence, I will rethinking implications of the critical thinking as "negative thinking", presupposing the "critical rationality" which has been pursued by the new language, that is, Criticism/Transcendence/Emancipation.
