A simultaneous two-frequency oscillation DBR laser is developed successfully for frequency-division multiplex optical communication system, optical information processing system, and so on. A biperiodic binary grating for distributed feedback reflector is installed. Maximum separation of two frequencies obtained is 3.83 THz with the center oscillation wavelength of 850nm.
