This paper develops a spatial conjunctive use model of irrigation water when firms choose an appropriate level of technology in water conservation. Conjunctive use under different scenarios for conveyance expenditure and seepage rate of soil are compared with a model that does not allow re-use of water lost. The results show that conjunctive use with conveyance significantly improves project benefit and increases area irrigated. Conveyance has an effect of reducing land rent differentials among firms.
