A follow-up survey of the graduates from Food Nutrition Department of Kochi Gakuen College was done to appraise the effect of secretarial education and to find out the future direction. According to the result, they valued secretarial education highly because they could gain the practical knowledge and skill to use word processor and other equipments and accordingly, a confidence in their own ability to do their jobs. Substantiating and strengthening the practical education and training such as "secretarial reception" and "word processor operation" seems necessary in the future.
