The fine structure of the cells and nerve fibers was studied on the olfactory lobes of the guppy. Glutaraldehyde and formaldehyde as prefixative and osmium tetroxide as postfixative were used in the double fixing method. The nerve cell and three types of neuroglial cells were discriminated characteristically. Each of these cells is thought to be the astroglia, the oligodendroglia and the microglia. In the nerve fibers it was unusnally, found that two neurotubules were attached each other just like a pair of pine needles.
