The present paper tries to predict circulation along a vortex centerline and entrainment by a pair of the vortices in an isothermal flow. A basic integral equation for determining circulation is derived without the assumption that the flow field is locally two-dimensional in a jet cross-section. For simplicity of the analysis the jet and vortex centerlines, and a decay law of the jet axial velocity are given empirically. The analytical circulation and entrainment are compared with experimental ones.
