The object of this study is to establish quantitatively the correspondence between our dynamical model and the real system for steady impact vibrations by experimental investigations. The followings are the main points. (1) Solution of the equation of motion is given by a perfect Fourier series method supplemented with a convergency improvement by means of series transformation, which was introduced by S. Maezawa. (2) An experimental model is a simple mass-spring system with a stop which is set in vibration by a harmonic exciting force. (3) Collision characteristics for force of restitution of the stop are assumed to be composed of three straight line segments enclosing a hysteresis loop. In this paper, only foregoing analytical results are given without proof, but the experimental apparatus and method are described, and results of experiments are compared with Fourier series solutions with good agreement.
