In clarifying the concept of the form, I realized major elements and factors of natural as well as artificial forms and defined them as the "language of forming." In my long career as a product designer, I have designed products with forms beautiful yet useful in daily life. The focus of my current study has been on techniques used to produce the designed objects. I have been particularly interested in the fact that many of my works are formed by "bending" which is achieved by the technique of plastic working. This paper introduces some of my works where "bending, " an example of the language of forming, is observed and explains its function in these works.
