The regeneration of nicotinamide-adenine dinucleotide (reduced form, NADH) by the reduction of NAD with hydrogen gas was carried out in the presence of immobilized Alcaligenes eutrophus in polyacrylamide gel. The pH stability of NAD reduction increased with immobilization. Hydrogenase activity of immobilized cells were maintained more than 65% of its initial activity for 16 days.
