概要

• We consider a Tauberian theorem by Avakumovic which is closely related to the asymptotic behavior of spectral funcitons and the asymptotic distribution of eigenvalues for elliptic operators. We generalize the theorem by using an arbitrary rapidly decreasing function satisfying some properties instead of a particular function used by Avakumovic, and at the same time refine the assumption. We also compare the theorem with another Tauberian theorem.
