• The movement analysis by digitizing the coordinates of the human body or Sports equipment is widely used to investigate sports technique or rehabilitation. Although the movement analysis system that is obtainable now in market can analyze three-dimensional (3D) movement, its cost is very high. Practically, there are many cases in which useful data can be acquired by only 2D system. So, we developed the high cost performance 2D analyzer, which is composed of commercial digital video camera, personal computer and software of Excel VBA. Then we have confirmed the functions of this system applied on Luge start that is typically two-dimensional movement. From these data, we have calculated the start speed and drawn stick diagram by our new developed software.
