• Centiles of height and weight were calculated with cross-sectional data in school health statistics from 1970 to 1985. Different equations were used in calculating centiles between the data before 1976 and after 1977 because of different rounding methods. The latest data should be used in calculating centiles of height and weight, because positive trends have been found in those of Japanese school children. Centiles of height and weight in each year were shown in tables and centiles curves in 1985 were figured.
