Seikatsu-Ga" is a key concept in art education of Japan. According to the proposals of "Seikatsu-Ga", a model of picture making process was formulated. The formulations are as follows. 1) Artist's active experience with object will influence the process of picture making. 2) Interactive behaviors in the process among artists will influence artists' cognitive development and communication of experience. In order to investigate whether these formulations are true or not, six-year-old children's interactive behaviors in the collaborative picture making process were analyzed. Two groups, each consisted of six children and a teacher, made pictures with a theme, that was "we are caregiving and playing with the bantams". Two teachers judged that H group children had more experiences with the bantams than L group children. It was found that the type of interaction of H group is different from that of L group. H group children interacted each other concerning about the elements of the picture theme, by using utterances and figures. L group children interacted each other concerning about the scenes and the compositions, by using utterances. The result may support the formulations of the model.
