In the arguments during the post-war educational reformation in Japan, there were two pararel outlooks on teachers' culture; to think much of teacher's character, and to think much of teacher's profession. At last, the arguments concessively concluded "Teacher should be trained in universities of Liberal Arts". But, behind the caustic criticism to old-style teacher education at Normal Schools, there remained old-style Japanese academisim with little criticism. Therefore, stuffs in the faculities of Liberal Arts or the departments of education founded in post-war Japan couldn't find any effective models for teachers education. In this paper, author analyzes some of the conflicts in finding new-style teachers' education in universities of Liberal Arts.
