I, the author, am sometimes caught by the fact that other researchers' views on school refusers are uninteligible. I often wonder by what means I can ascertain whether the views are valid or not. In this paper, I will consider 1) the phenomenological attitude and the "objectivity", 2) what "reality" and free imaginary variation mean, 3) the relationship of the universe and the understanding between individuals, and 4) lastly, I will turn to the truth concept and consider its primordial meanings, referring to theories of the truth, such as by Heidegger, Husserl, and Bollnow. In this consideration, as a whole, I will concern myself not with the concrete methods but with the methodology for the human science. The point is that we cannot come to the absolute truth, and that the truth itself has multiple ambiguities. We should be aware of our being-thrownness-in the world and should consider our historical and situational existence, and we must approach the truth step by step.
