This paper reports some interesting phenomenon in microwave propagation under the influence of atmospheric turbulence and snowfall. When some decrease in the field intensity produced by atmospheric turbulence exists, snowfall often causes the restoration of the field intensity very quickly. And this effect lasts during snowfall. This paper shows firstly the examples of transitions in the intensity and statistics of the data obtained with experiments. Secondly, this paper presents an analysis of the phenomena. The author proposes the physical explanation as below : The atmospheric turbulence causes the fading of the received field intensity by the multipath propagation. When snow falls, mass of snow-particles disturbs the conditions of multipath propagation in a short time. The conditions of propagation substitutes for ordinary propagation in snow from the multipath propagation. But the amount of attenuation by snow is smaller than the decrease in the field intensity by atmospheric turbulence. Therefore, the field intensity nearly restores to the conditions of no atmospheric turbulence. According to the above concept, the author developes a mathematical theory for explaining the facts.
