This paper concerns with a study on the method of numerical analyses of continuum. Historically, the finite difference method (FDM) with orthogonal linear mesh was used for this purpose, but it was not adaptable for complexly shaped boundary. For this reason this method was replaced by the finite element method (FEM) which is adaptable for complexly shaped boundary due to it's arbitary distributed nodes element. On the other hand, calculation procedure of FDM is simple and straight-forward compared with that of FEM because of it's element integration and others. Here, the auther present a new FDM with arbitraly distributed nodes. Calculation procedure of this method is relatively simple and also adaptable for complexly shaped boundary. Only trouble some task of this method is calculation of matrix inversion on each finite difference family or elements. Some simple test calculations were conducted and it was verified that this method is applicable for analyses of continuum as well as FEM. Further study on three dimensional analyses and other methods such sa interpolation function and isoparametric element will be continued. The auther wishes that this method will be applied widely for the analyses of elastodynamics, hydrodynamics, heat conduction and other general continuum.
