• キーワード : polymer blend silk fibroin poly(vinyl alcohol) degree of saponification degree of polymerization　抄録 : Morphology and mechanical properties in films of polymer blends consisted of silk fibroin(SF) and poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) with different degrees of saponification(DS) and of polymerization(DP) were investigated. The domain size formed by phase separation in blends was decreased with decreasing of DS and DP. This suggests that miscibility and/or compatibility for SF and PVA would be realized when DS and DP for PVA lessen. Although mechanical properties were improved by blending PVA, deviation from additivity of the Young's modulus for constituents was observed.
