Ammonium ion in the mixture can be determined by the measurement of electromotive force of Orion ammonia gas-sensing electrode, after the ion is changed with 0.1M NaOH to ammonia in the solution. Potassium ion in the mixture can be also determined in 0.01M Tris-HCl buffer, pH 7.5,can be also measured Orion potassium ion indicator and Orion double-junction reference electrodes. The response of the both indicator electrodes are linear over the concentration ranges from (10)^<-1>∿3×(10)^<-6>M and a Nernstian slope of 58mV per concentration decade at 25.0℃. (Tables I and IV, Figs. 2 and 5) The influence of the coexisting ions are represented in Tables II, III and V and Figs. 3∿9. Ten times of K^+ in the sample do not interfere the determination of (NH_4)^+ with the ammonia gas-sensing electrode, and also Ca(II) or Mg(II) in the solution can be masked with EDTA. Sodium and lithium ions do not quite disturb the measurement of K^+ with the potassium ion electrode, and also equimolar concentration of Ca(II) or Mg(II) in the sample solution do not interfere.
