In the complexes of Fe (III) and EDDHA or CyDTA or GEDTA which were employed for the absorptionmetric analysis of Fe (III), their molar extinction coefficients at the maximum wave length of absorption were 6900,8400 and 8900 respectively. Although each of these complexes has its specific character, it was recognized by spectrophotometric determination that GEDTA makes more stable complex compared to the other two reagents in composition and influence of coexisting ions, etc.
