The C band is a 4GHz frequency used for many artifical satellites overseas. It is, compared with the Ku band such as BS and CS, technologycally simple and strong against ionosphere and rain corrosion while a rather large parabolic antenna is required to receive the C band because of its longer wavelengths. Therefore, it is at present quite difficult to receive and appreciate the C band for individual use. In this paper, we will present a system (as in fig.1) with which we receive at our college the C band from satellites such as ASIASAT on the geostarionary orbit of longitude 105.5 east. In addition, we will discuss how we can obtain clearer pictures through the system above, and show how we perfrom intra-college broadcasting through the system of our own developing.
