• This paper will focus on two prominent cognitive positions, and cognition as an interdisciplinarian concern. The paper will specifically serve three purposes : (1) to compare the Chomskian and Piagetian positions on cognition, (2) to revisit the argument put forward by Fodor on the impossibility of the human organism being able to acquire more powerful structures, and (3) to review Putnam's comments on the debate of what is innate and why.
