The purpose of the present paper is to analyze the gas transport in the entrire respiratory network in the wide range of oscillatory respiration. A simple computational model which includes both effects of convection and mixing was applied to all generations of airways, and calculations were conducted for normal respiration and high frequency ventilation on an unified basis. The results predict the dynamical behaviour of gas transport in respiratory network and show good agreemnt with the physiological data for the gas exchange rate, the airway dead space as well as the generation of alveolar plateau.
