A disapperance of the Karman vortex street due to heating of cylinder submerged in horizontal main stream is firstly predicted by numerical calculation. The buoyancy acts upwards. This buoyancy intersects the horizontal main flow direction. Time-dependant Navier-Stokes and time-dependent energy equations are solved computationally. The outer boundary conditions are discussed and is divided into the main flow and the plume-like flow regions. As a result, it is discovered that the upward buoyancy breaks down the Karman vortex street in the wake past a cylinder submerged in a horizontal main stream.
