The interaction of vortex rings in viscous fluid is simulated numerically by using finite difference method to solve the Navier-Stokes equation. The numerical method, which uses alternating direction implicit difference, upwind difference and iterative technique for recovering accuracy and adjusts the calculating, is stable, accurate and efficient for analyzing the motion of vortex rings. This simulation shown good coincidence with the experiments.
