• Spectral data and radiometric standards needed for Tokamak diagnostics are reviewed. The availability and quality of atomic energy levels, ionization energies, wavelengths, and transition probabilities are discussed and typical examples with comparisons of different data sets are given and analyzed. Areas in need of improvement are pointed out, and it will be shown how interpolation techniques and applications of systematic trends may assist in situations where no numerical data are available. The status of VUV radiometry is reviewed, with emphasis on a discussion of new transfer standards permitting in-situ calibrations.
