• Five satellite lines to the (1s^2 ^1S-1s4p ^1P) helium-like line of Mg and Al have been observed in the emission spectra of laser-produced plasmas. The energy difference between these satellites and the parent line are analysed along the isoelectronic sequence. Tentative identification is suggested.
