• Eight new, or little known crustose lichens are reported. The genera Arthrorhaphis, Cecidonia and Epilichen are new to Japan. Epilichen scabrosus and Rhizocarpon hensseniae are new additions to the flora of Asia. Arthrorhaphis citrinella, Cecidonia umbonella and Trapelia mooreana are new additions to the flora of Japan. Descriptions including taxonomic and chemical data are provided. These are also provided for Rhizocarpon hochstetteri, Trapeliopsis flexuosa and Tremolecia atrata, which are the species previously little known in Japan.
