In recent years, the increasing need for developing high accurate facilities for underwater applications has led the University of Marine Science and Technology TUMSAT in a common effort with the Japan Agency for marine-Earth Exploration JAMSTEC, to envisage the design and development of a habited undersea station. Benefits of ocean exploration continue to accrue. Such benefits include motivation and education of our youth, the advancement of technology to serve humankind, the nurture of constructive interaction among diverse nations, the understanding of Earth’s complex systems and the sustainable use of the marine and the undersea-floor resources. (Broad W.,1998). The purpose of presenting the “Concept for a Closed Undersea Moving Facility and Seafloor Visiting Station” is to encourage and stimulate the required planning, constructive interaction, and development of needed technologies and expertise for ocean exploration not only with the full use of robotics but integrating permanent human presence as far as possible. With this objective the aim is to enhance a join project between TUMSAT and JAMSTEC and with the international collaboration of the French Institute of Research for the Sea IFREMER. The final idea is to build an innovative Underwater Station that will allow different kind of experiences and research from life sciences to industrial activity, in a pioneer experience that will be unique in the world.
