This paper discusses the network architecture for trace-ability, which is defined as the current status or history about objects can be managed. First, discovery services are categorized into 4 patterns, in which the trigger of discovery is object ID, reader ID, object semantic or reader semantic. Next, this paper shows a number of architecture models including database structure, and evaluates them. We provisionally conclude that the following model is the most attractive from the viewpoints of scalability and simplicity of protocol. In this model, object/reader information management server has database, whose row stores object/reader ID and object/reader semantics, and updates a set of reader/object semantics that have relation as the object/reader history.
