This paper presents and LDPC Design method to avoid a high error floor caused by the approximation in the Max-Log domain known as the mini-sum algorithm in categorized nodes. Lower complexity and high performance are required for mobile equipment, which leads us to use a low degree profile and calculations in the Max-log domain. To overcome error floor, we apply some individual coefficients to LLR values in every category. Simulation results show that even though categorized low profile and approximations are used, good performance is achieved, which can not be achieved by ordinary single coefficient methods.
