The Technical Committee on Electromagnetic Theory of Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan, has organized a special issue on “Recent Progress in Electromagnetic Theoryand its Application."The special issue is intended to include papers not only presented inour regular symposium, but also those which are not presented there, but are suitable for inclusion. This paper is intended to review the special issue and its papers(including review and original papers) selected for the present special issue.
