We studied the effects of temperature and rate on adhesive strength of the cord and rubber composite. The peel strength depended strongly on viscoelastic properties of rubber which relates deeply to temperature and the peeling rate. A master curve of the peel strength was also obtained by applying time-temperature superposition principle on the data obtained under several temperatures Observing fracture surface, some types of fracture were found corresponding to the change of viscoelastic properties of rubber compound. The pull-out strength was found to have a similar behavior to the temperature and rate dependencies of the peel strength. Viscoelastic functions could be also applied to the pull-out test.
