Lifetime of the <SUP>3</SUP>A<SUB>2</SUB> electronic state, so-called Klemans R, S and U states, of CS<SUB>2</SUB> molecule in the energy range of 28, 000 to 30, 300cm<SUP>-1</SUP> has been investigated using a pulsed tunable laser of rotational resolution. Between 28, 600 and 29, 800cm-1 many states have lifetime around 1μs, which is shorter than that of the higher V<SUP>1</SUP><I>B<SUB>2</SUB></I> electronic state. The lifetime becomes longer out of this energy region and depends on the vibrational state.
