This study deals with a questionnaire survey on consciousness of disaster prevention of students of Yamaguchi University who have experience of heavy rain on July, 2009. Yamaguchi University has two campuses. One is Yoshida campus located in Yamaguchi city and the other is Tokiwa Campus located in Ube city. The results of the questionnaire are compared between the students who are in Yoshida campus and in Tokiwa campus. The following results are obtained from our survey; 1) Although they recognize importance of disaster preventions, they hardly make a disaster prevention action. 2) The students who are in Yoshida campus have interest and anxiety on flood disasters in comparison with ones who are in Tokiwa campus. It could be said that the experience of the heavy rain affected the consciousness of disaster preventions of the students who in Yoshida campus.
