Abstract—This paper describes an efficient method for constructing a C3-symmetric[4]rotaxane through hydrogen bond-guided self-assembly and boroxine formation. Thereactions proceed under mild conditions in solution, with entropically driven forcespromoting the formation of the [4]rotaxane.
