A phenomenon of the surface deposition of metallic Ag in the As‐S‐Ag glasses, exposed to a mercury lamp (500 W), has been found. The photographic images for As15S40Ag45 glass, which consist of a great number of Ag deposits, are shown herein. It is suggested that the fundamental process in this phenomenon is associated with both photoeffects and thermal effects.
