In this article, the clinical meaning of the combined therapy of individual psychotherapyand group therapy in psychiatry-day care is considered by proposing cases from theauthor's clinical practices. Among them, this paper describes characteristics as theintermediate region of the day care, which has a gradual structure close to a daily life.Moreover, focusing on the structure of therapy that makes clients come and go betweenday care and psychotherapy rooms, the author considers the bridging function through theconcrete properties of a therapist. Such practices help therapists receive the expressions ofa client's inner world swaying continually in the growth process of the client's ego. Sharingthe ways of clients from the phase of concrete and experimental relations just precedingpsychotherapy into the psychotherapy sessions where more abstract and linguisticexpressions of the mentality are treated, and this activity is believed to support the client'sprocess of internalizing the container of his or her mind.
