By the same experimental arrangements as before,several kinds of impulsive wavehaving different wave front are obtained,and these waves are applied to electrodes,whichare sphere, plate, needle, etc. in form and immersed in various kinds of liquids. Therelation of the breakdown voltage of liquids to the distance of the gap between electrodesare then studied. While in the previous report the characteristics in uniform field wastreated,they are obtained under non-uniform field in this report. By comparing andanalizing these characteristics the authors aim to find out the influence of the impulsivewave front on the breakdown voltage of complex liquid insulators.
