生物多様性に対する行政と企業の動きが活発になってきた。きっかけの一つは、10月に名古屋市で開かれる生物多様性条約第10回締約国会議（COP10）だ。民間事業で先行してきた生物多様性配慮の取り組みが、今後、公共事業へと拡大する可能性は十分にある。「配慮すべき課題が増えた」と嘆くより、これを勝機に変える意識が求められている。
