This study clarifies the importance and significance of “Befitting Exercise" which is necessary for maintaining one's health positively. Usually positive physical exercise is not self-generated where the individual has low psychological motivation. What is at issue for most people seems to be a regime of exercise that suits the wider framework of their lives. Clearly a positive approach to exercise is personally derived and thus needs to fit within the positive image the individual has of exercises and sports activities that are likely to motivate them.This study suggests that mechanisms to achieve a positive perspective and ways to change towards these are possible. It offers a chart that outlines a framework for providing a supportive psychological motivation that can provide guidance towards“befitting exercise."
