The purpose of this paper is epistemological investigation of "pratique" and "habitus", which are key concepts in Pierre Bourdieu's works. Up to now there has been a confrontation between Objectivism and Subjectivism in social sciences and the humanities. Even now it continues. For example a confrontation between "Normative Paradigms" and "Interpretive Paradigms" in Sociology, a confrontation between structure and subject in social theory and philosophy, they are all variants of the general confrontation between Objectivism and Subjectivism. Pierre Bourdieu intends to get over these confrontations by his Social Theory. In that case, his concepts "pratique" and "habitus" are very important in his theory. We must consider whether Bourdieu's theoritical attempts really get over the confrontation. I investigate this problem as follows; (1) I consider the relation between Bourdieu's "habitus" and "structure". (2) I try to examine the difference between Bourdieu's Structuralisme Genetique and C. Levi-Strauss's Structuralisme. (3) I'd like to consider Bourdieu's theoritical effectiveness by comparing his "sense of game" and L. Wittgenstein's "Sprachspiel, Languagegame". (4) I attempt to grasp the mechanism of Education in modern society by considering the difference between Bourdieu's Theorie Pratique and M. Foucault's Technology of Power.
