The grain-boundary sliding and interlocking of two-phase ceramics are examined on the basis of Dryden-Kucerovsky-Wilkinson-Watt theory. The theory is extended to the shear creep deformation of hexagonal grains embedded in a contiguous grain-boundary melt. Two-phase ceramics in creep deformation behave as non-Newtonian fluid with the viscosity which depends on the creep strain. The viscosity and the volume fraction of the intergranular melt of β-spodumene grass-ceramic are estimated in experiment.
