Conductive coating (epoxy resin and needle-like SnO_2(Sb)-coated TiO_2) has been performed on ceramics substrates in order to monitor the strain through its surface electric resistance change. Effect of moisture sorption was studied by changing the ambient relative humidity. Surface reistance of thick films depended on filler content and relative humidity (rh). At high rh values, strain dependence of resistance was positive and this positive straining coefficient decreased with decreasing rh value. At 30% rh, it turned to negative and its absolute value increased with decreasing relative humidity.
