Pressure Effects on Superconductivity and Magnetism in FeSe1-xTex

The pressure ($P$) dependence of AC susceptibility and electrical resistivity of FeSe0.88 and FeSe0.5Te0.5 has been studied. The superconducting transition temperature ($T_{\text{c}}$) of FeSe0.5Te0.5 is found to be more sensitive to $P$ than it is in FeSe0.88, which is believed to arise from the strongly distorted structure. The enhancement of $T_{\text{c}}$ by $P$ is mainly attributed to an increase of density of states, which implies that the superconductivity in FeSe1-xTex favors pairing mechanism in the context of strong-coupling BCS theory.
