We propose a novel method of optically recovering holograms that are inevitably attenuated by selective rewriting of a data page in multiplexed holograms. We prove the effectiveness of our hologram recovering method experimentally. We also numerically investigate the recovery degree of multiplexing with consideration of the optical and electric noises, so that we can reveal the maximum recoverable degree of multiplexing under the condition in which such noises exist. Then, we show that the recoverable degree of multiplexing can be improved by setting the appropriate recovery duration.
