A cantilever beam deposited with single-domain magnetic multilayers to observe actuation behavior under an external magnetic field is proposed. It is observed that the deflection and angular deflection in the substrate plane of the cantilever beam both exhibit hysteresis, and the magnetization switching of single-domain magnetic thin film is directly observed in the actuation process.
