In order to drive high-density plasma displays, one TV field should effectively be composed of reset, address, and sustain periods and the display quality should be improved. Therefore, we must study high-speed driving technology. In this paper, we will show the relationship between the width of the address electrode and high-speed drive using the threshold voltage ($V_{\text{t}}$) closed curve and will propose the panel structure for high-speed driving. In these experiments, we will show that the wider the address electrode is, the narrower the width of the scan pulse becomes. Therefore, we could achieve the dynamic data voltage margin of 16.4 V at a scan pulse width of 0.8 μs and a ramp voltage of 220 V at an address electrode width of 180 μm for a high-speed-drive 4-in. test PDP.
