The fine structure intervals and isotope shift of the high 32D levels of atomic lithium were measured by two-step excitation fluorescence spectroscopy using an external cavity laser diode for the first-step excitation, using various scanning ranges over the first-step transition structure. Second-step spectra of the specific isotope pairs and fine components were readily assigned to the corresponding transitions.
