Synthesis and Properties of Fluoroalkylated Oligomers Containing Phosphonium Segments

Fluoroalkylated 2 - acryloxyethyltributylphosphonium chloride oligomers with carbon-carbon bond formation were synthesized by the reactions of fluoroalkanoyl peroxides with the corresponding monomer. These oligomers were soluble in common organic solvents, and were able to reduce the surface tension of <I>m</I>-xylene, effectively. More interestingly, these oligomers containing phosphonium segments were found to exhibit a high antibacterial activity.
